Queanbeyan is home to a modern TAFE campus with courses in disciplines including nursing, business, plumbing and bricklaying.
Students in Queanbeyan-Palerang also have access to the Canberra Institute of Technology which offers a comprehensive range of courses across all areas of technical education. CIT campuses are located in the suburbs of Fyshwick, Woden, Reid and Bruce.

The Australian National University is one of Australia’s top universities, currently ranked 19th in the world, and chair of Australia’s prestigious Group of Eight Universities. ANU is internationally famous for its research and has close links with government, industry and research institutions in Australia and around the world. The latest QS World University Subject Rankings found ANU had 15 subjects in the top 25 of the world, and was number one in Australia in 15 disciplines - more than any other Australian university.
The University of Canberra places in the top 100 young universities in the world and is renowned for its excellence in professional preparation. UC also is ranked in the top 30 Australian Excellence of Research of Australia (ERA) rankings.
The University of New South Wales (Canberra campus) is another of Australia’s Group of Eight Universities, ranked 46th in the world, and globally recognised for innovative teaching and state of the art facilities.
The Australian Catholic University (Canberra campus) specialises in health sciences, social welfare and education and provides its students with a high quality learning experience.
Charles Sturt University (campuses in Goulburn and Canberra) consistently achieves high rankings for graduate outcomes.
