Residents of Queanbeyan-Palerang have local public and independent high schools which are well-regarded in all areas including academic performance, the arts, technology and sports.
The NSW Government has also committed to building two new high schools; one at Bungenndore and one at South Jerrabomberra, offering new alternatives to local residents.
Preparing for work
Queanbeyan is home to a modern TAFE campus with courses in disciplines including nursing, business, plumbing and bricklaying.
Students in Queanbeyan-Palerang also have access to the Canberra Institute of Technology which offers a comprehensive range of courses across all areas of technical education. CIT campuses are located in the suburbs of Fyshwick, Woden, Reid and Bruce.
